Coach Bappe, former Ames High Varsity Baseball Coach for 18 years. He coached Multiple All-Conference and All-State players. He has 25 years experience in Baseball and Football coaching. He has been giving private baseball lessons and multi player clinic's for the last 14 years. Coach Bappe has also participated in practices with the Baseball Coaching Staff at Creighton University and the University of Arizona.



Was a 3 year varsity baseball letter winner at Boone High School.  2-Time Litle Hawkeye All-Conference Selection and 2002 IHSBCA All-Star Participant.  Ryan was a 4 year starting pitcher at Wartburg College.  He was a 4-Time IIAC All Coference Selection, 2-Time All-Region Selection and 4-Time IIAC Conference Champion.  He appeared in 2 NCAA Regional Tournaments and was part of the 2005 DIII College World Series team.   


DJ Duve attended Valley High School in West Des Moines, Iowa until 2017 when he graduated. While at Valley DJ posted a 1.3 ERA his senior year. After graduation DJ went to pitch at Simpson College until injuries ended his playing career. DJ then turned his attention to coaching, and started coaching in 2018 at Indianola High School. While at Indianola DJ’s freshman team posted a 36-5 record. Also, DJ helped coach 2 Big 10 players, a NAIA player, and 2 D-III players. Next, DJ started coaching at Urbandale High School where his freshman team broke the school record for wins with a record of 30-8. While at Urbandale, DJ has helped coach 2 Big 10 players, 2 NAIA players, and 2 JUCO players.



Vic Hill is a new addition to the 3T's program.  He has been part of fast pitch softball since 2009.  Vic has also been an assistant with the Iowa Blitz club teams.  His daughter Karlie Hill set the Ames High School single season home run record and led the team in hits as well as batting average.  Coach Vic has had the opportunity to travel the country and experience the highest level of competition.  He brings a great deal of knowledge to our program. 



  Kate grew up in Ames, IA with her parents and younger brother.  She played softball at Ames High School where she was a five year varsity starter. Kate was a 5-time All CIML player as well as a 5-time All-State player, receiving 1st Team All-State honors her last three
Kate continued her softball career at Grand View University. She graduated in 2018 with a degree in Spanish and Political Science.  While at Grand View, she had the privilege of playing with incredible
teammates and under terrific coaches. During her time there, the team qualified for the national tournament every year, and in her senior year, made program history by being the first GV team to play in the Opening Round championship game. While at Grand View, Kate was named First Team All-Conference in the Heart of America Conference and was also named NFCA First Team All Region. She was named an Academic All-American every year.




Owner of 3T's All Star Sports Academy and Coached 13 years on the Ames High Baseball Coaching Staff.  Robert has participated in practices with the Baseball Coaching Staff's at Creighton University, University of Arizona, Florida Gulf Coast University, Unvierys of Illinois Chicago, Northern Illinois, Northwestern University and Iowa Lakes Community College.  He has also attended the American Baseball Coaches Convention the last 4 years to learn the current hitting, pitching, fielding, catching and throwing philosophies and mechanics in baseball.  
Coach Shahidi is also a PGA Class A Professional. He graduated from Ames High School as a 4A State Golf Champion and went on to play at the University of North Carolina Charlotte. He has been a Head Golf Professional at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, CO and at The Golf Club at Fiddler's Creek in Naples, FL.
