Toran currently serves as the Director of High School Select Teams for 3T's and as an instructor who specializes in Hitting & Catching.
In August of 2019 , Shahidi was hired by D1 North Dakota State University of the Summit league as the Catching Coach. Shahidi served as an Assistant Coach during the 2019-2020 season for the Bison. Shahidi did not return due to Covid 19 and took his teaching skills to 3T's.
Toran spent his Senior college season at St. Cloud State University. He finished his season as a 2nd Team All-Conference selection as Catcher, batting .327 with 7 home runs and 48 RBI's (both tied for 2nd on the team). While at St. Cloud State, Shahidi served as the team's Catching Coach in a Player/Coach role. Toran received his degree in Elective Studies in the Summer of 2019 from St. Cloud State.
In 2017 Toran accepted a scholarship offer to D1 University of South Carolina Upstate, Shahidi started 41 of 51 games while batting .280 and leading the team in doubles with 11.
Toran attended Kirkwood Community College after High School. While starting as Catcher for the Eagles, he batted .342 as a freshman in 2015. In 2016 he redshirted due to a shoulder injury. He returned in 2017 and started behind the plate for the Eagles.
Toran attended Ames High School from the fall of 2010 - 2014. He was a 4 year starter for the Little Cyclones, a 4 time all conference selection, and named team captain and pride award winner.

Brett Slight attended Boone High school and graduated in 2014. Slight was a 1st team all state, all district and all conference player his junior and senior year. Slight went on to play at the college level for DMACC for the 2015 and 2016 season. Slight is going on his 7th year of coaching baseball. He was the head freshman baseball coach in Boone from 2017-2019 and then took over as the head varsity baseball coach in Baxter from 2020-2022. This will be his first year coaching 7th grade baseball at Gilbert. Brett Slight has been around the game of baseball both as a player and as a coach and understands what it takes to be successful at the high school and college level. Being around a lot of baseball and always wanting to play at the college level, my goal is to coach kids and help them succeed and achieve whatever goals they might have.
Brett Slight is currently a 7th grade PE/Health teacher at Gilbert Middle School. He coaches baseball, basketball, and football.

Kenneth Namanny comes to 3T’s as our new Director of Pitching! With certifications from OnBaseU, Driveline and Rapsodo, Kenny has extensive knowledge in pitching technology and building throwing programs to help athletes not only gain velocity, but maintain health and improve their arsenal. Prior to coming to 3T’s Kenny spent the last 5 years building and directing the Project 90 program at Sportsplex West in Waukee, Iowa. During that time, Kenny worked with pitchers at all levels, from youth up to professional. Kenny specializes in pitching data and off-season throwing programs while also consulting athletes with their in-season routines. Kenny spent 5 years coaching at Southwestern Community College in Creston, Iowa. He was the Assistant Coach & Recruiting Coordinator from 2014-2017, and Head Coach from 2017-2019. Kenny finished his master’s degree in 2017 from Western Kentucky University after graduating from Morningside College in 2014. He also obtained an associate degree from Southwestern Community College in 2011.

DJ Duve has just finished his second year as the pitching coach at Waukee NW and 5th year overall of HS coaching. He has coached numerous D1 pitchers in both lessons and in high school programs. He is Driveline Pitch Design, Rapsodo, and Driveline pitching certified. He specializes in pitch design and analyzes pitching data.
Preston Church graduated from Ogden High School in 2013. He is the first and only baseball player from Ogden High School to receive a Division 1 athletic scholarship.

Preston is currently the Athletic Director at Storm Lake St. Mary’s High School in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Ashley has become a leading figure in youth development and recruiting in the sport. A dedicated advocate for nurturing young athletes, Ashley’s journey began on the field as a star player at the University of New Mexico. There, she earned the coveted title of Offensive MVP, captained her team, and received first-team All-Mountain West honors, along with a second-team All-West Region selection during her freshman year.
Transferring to Cal State Fullerton for her sophomore season, Ashley’s talent continued to shine brightly. In 2006, she was named Player of the Year and achieved multiple accolades as a three-time All-Conference and All-American athlete. With five hitting categories under her belt, she ranks third all-time in career home runs at CSUF—a testament to her exceptional skills.
Ashley’s commitment to excellence carried over into her international career with Team Canada, where she proudly contributed to a Gold Medal win in 2007 and a Silver Medal in 2004. In recognition of her impactful career, she was inducted into the Elmodena High School Hall of Fame in 2024.
Following her playing days, Ashley immediately transitioned into coaching, starting with the NJ Intensity. There, she led player development and coached the 16U national team, guiding them to an impressive third-place finish at the 2016 PGF Nationals. In 2020, she began her journey with the Louisville Lady Sluggers, where her expertise flourished.
Throughout her nine-year coaching career, Ashley has successfully guided over 200 student-athletes to collegiate levels, showcasing her talent for spotting and nurturing potential. In her 2026 class alone, her Lady Slugger VB squad attracted attention from over 50 colleges eager to recruit her eight eligible athletes on the first day of contact.
Ashley combines her competitive experience, coaching prowess, and a passion for youth development to empower the next generation of softball players, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities to succeed both on and off the field.

Kate grew up in Ames, IA with her parents and younger brother. She played softball at Ames High School where she was a five year varsity starter. Kate was a 5-time All CIML player as well as a 5-time All-State player, receiving 1st Team All-State honors her last three years.

Kate continued her softball career at Grand View University. She graduated in 2018 with a degree in Spanish and Political Science. While at Grand View, she had the privilege of playing with incredible teammates and under terrific coaches. During her time there, the team qualified for the national tournament every year, and in her senior year, made program history by being the first GV team to play in the Opening Round championship game. While at Grand View, Kate was named First Team All-Conference in the Heart of America Conference and was also named NFCA First Team All Region. She was named an Academic All-American every year.

She then played college softball at DePaul University before a back injury and the COVID-19 pandemic returned her to central Iowa. She then opened her bakery Riley’s Sweets and Treats and enrolled and has since graduated from the Iowa Culinary Institute. While she does continue to bake in her free time, her heart has always been to work with kids, especially to share her knowledge and love for the game. Riley is an educational assistant at Edwards Elementary and is the assistant varsity coach, pitching coach, and head JV coach for the West Marshall softball team.
